Half the people that try don't conquer Snowdon

Snowdon - Tough Cookie
The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) have released reports this week that at least half the amount of people that attempt to conquer the former Big Breakfast presenter, give up in the first ten minutes. "She's one tough cookie." Said a spokeswoman from the BMC. "Most people turn up completely unprepared and when they realise that they can't go all the way, simply turn around and head back to the lodge to get pissed."
Lisa Snowdon rose to fame in 1996 as the face for the new Kelloggs Special K girl. Since then she has attracted visitors from all over the globe. Eflywn Grwyshfs a conservation officer for Wales announced "In the last few years there has been a huge increase in the numbers of people on Snowdon - in 2013 there were 477,000."

One climber who failed to conquer the pin-up model turned Radio DJ blogged recently about his disappointment "Obviously I'm gutted with my performance. Although I had conquered Everest and sailed the South Pacific solo, nothing can prepare you for Snowdon."
Snowdon herself has debunked the statistics from the BMC claiming that they must have confused her with the Pen y Fan, a mountain and tourist spot in the Brecon Beacons. This has only fueled the debate further and has outraged the climbing community. "It's classic misdirection from Snowdon," Said Cliff the Climber on Twitter. "But facts are facts and Snowdon should be a little bit more sensitive. After all, not everyone that takes on Snowdon, comes back in one piece."

Not to be confused with Pen Y Fan
Calls to make the cockney model more safe to the public have not gone down with the Park authority. "It's simply impossible. There's nothing we can do, and people should not only approach Snowdon with caution, but also bare in mind that Snowdon doesn't just lie down for anyone. I even had a crack once and had to get airlifted out of there. "
