| How Lamont would look in the new Star Wars |
Disney have announced that Norman Lamont has been added to the cast of Star Wars episode VII. The plot for the latest installment which is due to start filming at Pinewood studies next month, is rumoured to be a continuation of The Trade Federation being at odds with the peaceful planet of Naboo. Director JJ Abrams leaked the details of the plot online this week stating 'We feel like Lucas made a whopping error by sending the Jedi's in to settle this dispute in
The Phantom Menace. We are pleased to have Lamont onboard, the negotiations should run a lot smoother and will add some much needed realism to the franchise.'
Lamont has been in the political wilderness since his departure as Chancellor of the Exchequer back in 1993. 'I'm back bitch!' Lamont chuffed to an undercover reporter this week. 'I over saw the Maastricht Treaty, I cut Corporation Tax in this country by 2%, I think I can handle a couple of dissident Viceroy's. I've been saying for years the pen is mightier than the light-sabre.'

Writer and Director of the Star Wars saga George Lucas has expressed his elation at the inclusion of Lamont into the franchise. 'I was a bit miffed at first when JJ told me they're doing away with the Jedi council, but when he told me Lamont was onboard, I couldn't be happier. He's
tailor made for the role and he will undoubtedly bring order to the galaxy.' When asked if he would be happy for Lamont to have his own spin-off series he added, 'People have been asking for Lamont's Backstory for years. Ideas are being pitched about that he could clash with Darth Vadar on his rise to being MP for Kingston on Thames. I mean it virtually writes itself doesn't it?'
